London's deathcrash channels extended, high-tension dynamics into a sound rooted in classic slowcore, shifting between hushed restraint and sudden, crushing distortion. On their 2022 debut album Return the quartet refined their deliberate, glacial pacing, then broadened the approach with greater emphasis on space and texture for the 2023 follow-up Less.

The group came together in 2019 when singer/guitarist Tiernan Banks, drummer Noah Bennett, bassist Patrick Fitzgerald, and guitarist Matthew Weinberger began working as a unit. Drawing from the example of Codeine, Low, and Duster, they assembled their core style and quickly issued two 2019 releases: the 7-inch Slumber and the home-recording compilation Sundown (A Collection of Home Recordings). The 2020 EP People thought my windows were stars pushed further into experimental territory, extending individual pieces beyond the fifteen-minute mark. Return marked their first official long-player in 2022, followed the next year by Less, which retained the group's measured tempos while incorporating post-rock strategies of atmosphere and arrangement.
