Biography
Born on 15 July 1954 in Oxford, England, under the name Deirdre Cozier, the British singer scored her breakthrough with the club-focused crossover single ‘Automatic Lover’. The track entered the UK Top 5 during 1978 and simultaneously reached the summit of charts throughout Europe. Its futuristic space motif resurfaced on the next release, ‘Meteor Man’. Two albums built around comparable material followed. Jackson later founded and ran a record company in Turin, Italy.
