Disiz

Disiz la Peste entered the world in Amiens in 1978 as Serigne M'Baye Gueye, the son of a Senegalese father and Belgian mother. JoeyStarr of Suprême NTM spotted his talent, which led to a breakthrough in 2000 when his first album, Le Poisson Rouge, climbed into the Top Five. After Jeu Societe arrived in 2003, he issued Itinéraire d'un Enfant Bronzé in 2004 under his birth name, launched the hip-hop collective Fuck Dat, and played an aspiring MC in the film Dans Tes Reves, before reclaiming his established stage name for the 2006 release Les Histoires Extra-Ordinaires d'un Jeune de Banlieue. While working with Grems on the projects Rouge à Lèvres and Klub Sandwich, he appeared to exit the rap scene via 2009's Disiz the End. Taking on the alias Disiz Peter Punk, he shifted toward rock on the 2010 album Dans le Ventre du Crocodile, only to return to hip-hop two years later with the EP Lucide.
