Sadek earns frequent comparisons to France's counterpart of Fat Joe, projecting an outsized personality as one of the leading voices in the latest wave of French rap. Seine-Saint-Denis provided the setting for his upbringing, where he established himself as a fixture in local freestyle circles. A memorable showing at the Quai 54 basketball tournament brought him to the attention of organizer Hamadoun Sidibe, who took him on as a protégé. Following extended studio refinement, Sadek lent verses to DJ Abdel's Evolution on the cut "All Access" and to La Fouine's Capitale du Crime, Vol. 3 on "Pendez-Les 2012." He then unveiled his debut project, the 2012 mixtape La Légende de Johnny Niuuum, which included guest spots from Soprano of Psy 4 de la Rime and Jae Millz, the Young Money Entertainment artist.
