Biography
Nicaragua marks the birthplace of Aristh Delgado, though he is far better recognized under the moniker DJ Craze and spent his formative years in Miami, the city where bass dominates hip-hop and scratching stands as its most articulate voice. Among turntablists he ranks among the most decorated, having secured more than a dozen contest victories, among them an unmatched streak of three straight World DMC Championship wins. His debut full-length, Crazee Musick, appeared via San Francisco’s Bomb Hip Hop in 1999. The 2002 follow-up Scratch Nerds marked his next solo outing, yet Craze’s catalog extends well beyond lone turntable projects. He also belongs to the turntable crew the Allies, whose album D-Day surfaced in 2000.
