Biography
Djaimin, born Dario Djaimin Mancini, stands among Europe's foremost DJs and producers. Exposure to New York-based DJ Kult Tony Humphries, widely acknowledged as the originator of house music, prompted him to become an early broadcaster of live house sessions on Swiss radio. In the 1980s his residency at the Plantinum Club in Montreux helped acquaint Swiss crowds with the compelling rhythms of techno-dance. As leader of Crystal Clear, a coalition of house music producers, he has delivered recordings to the Strictly Rhythm and Deconstruction labels. His 1992 single "Give You," the first Swiss house recording, rose to global chart dominance in the dance market. Partnering with European house music DJ and vocalist Mr. Mike, Djaimin has released material under the name Black & White Brothers. Born in Hamburg, Germany, he is the son of an Italian father and a London-born mother.
