Since the mid-1990s, New York native Dennis Ferrer has been a driving force in dance music, launching his career by teaming with Damon Wild to issue techno-infused productions under the moniker Morph. Recognition on a broader scale arrived only in 2003, when the Jerome Sydenham collaboration “Sandcastles” ignited dance floors globally and marked his initial breakthrough within electronic music circles. Additional well-received cuts such as “Son of Raw” and “Church Lady,” along with remixes for Blaze, Fish Go Deep, Martin Solveig, and Dido, plus several mix compilations, steadily elevated his standing. In 2006 a substantial selection of his earlier original work was gathered on the album The World as I See It.
