Junior Jack

Born in Italy, Vito Lucente settled in Brussels after his family relocated there during his teenage years. Operating as the sleek house unit Junior Jack, the DJ and producer first issued tracks in the 1990s under the aliases Mr. Jack, Kaf 'é, and Hugh K. He introduced the Junior Jack name in 2000 through the single My Feeling on Play It Again Sam. The 2002 release Thrill Me, paired with a Ministry of Sound residency in London alongside partner Kid Crème, established Junior Jack’s presence. Remix commissions soon followed from artists such as Bob Sinclair and Moby. In 2003 Junior Jack’s “Make Luv” and “E-Samba” received heavy club play while the In the House label issued the mix CD In the House by Junior Jack and Kid Crème. Nettwerk then put out Trust It, Lucente’s first full-length of his own material, in 2004; its single Da Hype, featuring guest vocalist Robert Smith from the Cure, rose on dance charts worldwide.
