Biography

Born in Cologne in 1974, German DJ and producer Roman Boer launched his Tocadisco alias—taken from the Spanish term for turntable—while working as resident at Düsseldorf’s UNIQUE club in his early twenties. After inking a deal with Superstar Records, several of his remixes surfaced on Benny Benassi’s Cooking for Pump-Kin compilation, and his reinterpretation of the Egg’s “Walking Away” supplied the core sample for David Guetta’s 2006 breakthrough single “Love Don’t Let Me Go.” He later joined forces with the French producer on the 2008 cut “The Sound of Letting Go,” the same year his debut album Solo appeared, followed in 2009 by 128.0 FM.
