Alex Gaudino, a leading dance music producer and A&R executive, delivered multiple landmark Italo-house tracks throughout the 1990s. Alessandro Fortunato Gaudino was born in Salerno, Italy, and his immersion in the house sounds of the late 1980s prompted him to start DJing at thirteen. He held A&R roles at Flying Records and subsequently at Time Records before launching his own imprint, Rise, whose catalog included U.K. chart-toppers by the Tamperer and Black Legend. After supplying remixes for Mousse T, Carl Cox, and Pete Tong, he joined Crystal Waters on the debut single “Destination Unknown,” which peaked at number four, and later notched additional Top 20 entries with “Watch Out” at number sixteen, “I’m in Love” at number ten, and “Little Love” at number thirty-three as one third of Lil’ Love. He also holds a residency at Eden, one of Ibiza’s flagship clubs, and in 2009 co-founded the Magnificent label alongside fellow DJ Jason Rooney.
