Swedish House Mafia, the electronic supergroup formed by DJ and producers Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, delivers high-octane EDM fused with progressive house. The Stockholm-based collective first gained traction during the 2000s by converting festival appearances into global momentum, landing international successes such as the Pharrell Williams collaboration “One (Your Name)” and the Tinie Tempah track “Miami 2 Ibiza.” Those singles propelled their 2010 compilation Until One into the upper tier of both the U.K. and U.S. dance charts. Their follow-up collection, 2012’s Until Now, improved on that showing by entering the Billboard 200’s top twenty and introducing the hits “Save the World” and “Don’t You Worry Child” with John Martin. After pausing for five years to focus on individual endeavors, the trio reconvened in 2022 to top the dance charts with their first official studio album, Paradise Again. They captured the accompanying world tour on 2023’s Paradise Again: The Live Album and reappeared on the Swedish singles chart with “See the Light” alongside Fridayy plus “Lioness” featuring Niki and the Dove.

The three members initially connected in the mid-2000s through joint tours and shared studio work; DJ Eric Prydz participated in those early sessions. Their breakthrough as Swedish House Mafia occurred in August 2008 with a headline set in the Main Room of Cream Amnesia on Ibiza, part of Radio 1’s Essential Mix series. Soon afterward they secured a major-label deal with EMI, released stateside via Astralwerks, and introduced their first commercial production, the 2010 summer anthem “One,” alternately titled “One (Your Name)” when Pharrell Williams supplied vocals. The track reached the top ten in the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Belgium. It anchored the 2010 compilation Until One, which led the U.K. dance chart and peaked at number four on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums survey.

Two years later the group staged a widely publicized farewell tour to promote the second compilation Until Now. Another assemblage of prior material, the album earned platinum status in Sweden and climbed to number fourteen on the Billboard 200. One Last Tour: A Live Soundtrack formally closed that chapter in 2014. During the subsequent hiatus Angello advanced a solo career while Axwell & Ingrosso operated as a high-profile duo. The original trio surprised audiences by reuniting for a closing set at the twentieth-anniversary Ultra Music Festival in Miami during March 2018, then mounted the 2019 Save the World Reunion Tour and aligned with Republic Records.

From 2021 onward they issued singles previewing their first proper studio album, among them “It Gets Better” and the Weeknd-assisted “Moth to a Flame.” The Sting collaboration “Redlight” followed in 2022 just before Paradise Again arrived, a project that also featured Mapei, A$AP Rocky, Ty Dolla $ign, Seinabo Sey, and additional guests. The record topped both the U.K. Dance Albums chart and Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. In its wake the group launched the Paradise Again World Tour and shared Coachella billing with the Weeknd. Paradise Again: The Live Album documented the performances in 2023, and the collective reentered the Swedish charts in 2024 via the single “Lioness” with Niki and the Dove.
