W&W, a duo of DJs and producers, blend the melodic sweep of trance with electro’s sharp textures and the surging drive of progressive house to shape a sound entirely their own. The pair has delivered dozens of tracks built for packed dancefloors and has become a regular presence on major festival stages, appearing at Ultra, EDC and Tomorrowland while setting a world record with 24 performances across China in only 27 days. As they rose to prominence on the mainstage EDM circuit, W&W kept issuing fresh material, among them the 2022 collaboration with AXMO titled “Heaven is a Place on Earth,” and supplied original remixes for artists including Ed Sheeran and Steve Aoki with BTS.

Electronic musicians, producers and DJs Willem van Hanegem and Ward van der Harst launched W&W in 2007. Early backing came from Tiësto, David Guetta and Armin van Buuren, whose A State of Trance program began spotlighting the duo’s steady stream of productions and remixes that same year. Van Hanegem and van der Harst issued the double-length album Impact in 2011, yet wider recognition arrived in 2014 with the single “Bigfoot,” which reached the Top 30 on the Dutch Single Top 100 and registered on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart in the United States. The duo maintained a consistent schedule of recording and performances in the years that followed. In 2017 they introduced their trance-focused WNYR side project through a remix of Ed Sheeran’s “Castle on the Hill.” W&W have continued advancing trance via WNYR while supporting the broader EDM landscape through their community-driven label Rave Culture, a bi-weekly radio show, livestream broadcasts and related initiatives. Their catalog of remixes has likewise expanded over time, encompassing reworkings for O-Zone, Jaxx & Vega, the Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki and BTS, R3HAB and numerous others.
