Firebeatz is a Dutch electronic production duo made up of Tim Benjamin Smulders and Jurre van Doeselaar. The pair first connected during art school studies in the Netherlands, drawn together by a common enthusiasm for dance music. They launched the project in 2008 and began issuing early material such as "Speak Up" and "Hit the Dust," each featuring assorted guest vocalists and performers. Continued work led those initial efforts into broader releases like "Funky Shit" and "Here We Fucking Go," which strengthened their profile across EDM audiences. Recognition followed quickly from reviewers and established DJs, even as successive tracks rose on the charts. The year 2013 brought collaborations with Bobby Burns and EDM superstar Calvin Harris, alongside releases on Tiësto's Musical Freedom label. Greater acclaim arrived through expanded partnerships and genre crossovers with rappers including Snoop Dogg, Flo Rida, James Blunt, Pitbull, and others. The duo also moved into live settings, appearing on the festival circuit before steadily larger crowds as their profile expanded.
