Russian sibling duo Matisse & Sadko craft expansive house anthems laced with future bass and electro edges, echoing their frequent partner Martin Garrix along with predecessors Deep Dish and Swedish House Mafia. After emerging in the late 2000s they maintained a consistent flow of singles and first reached the charts in 2015 via the collaborative EP Break Through the Silence alongside Garrix.

Alexander and Yury Parkhomenko, born in Sosnovy Bor, had each pursued solo careers before uniting under the Matisse & Sadko name. Their initial releases “Aforia,” “A Day to Remember,” and “Amulet” led to the 2012 breakthrough “Trio” with Arty. Subsequent output on DOORN, Spinnin, STMPD, Dim Mak, and additional imprints included the 2013 track “SLVR” with Steve Angello and 2014’s “Azonto.” The 2015 Break Through the Silence EP, again with Martin Garrix, produced two charting singles in Belgium—the title cut and “Dragon.”

In 2016 the duo supplied the official anthem “GO!” for the Ice Hockey World Championship and inaugurated their Monomark Music imprint with “Machine Gun.” Further joint efforts with Garrix arrived via 2016’s “Together” and 2017’s “Forever.” Nearly a dozen singles appeared in 2018, among them “Into You” and “Dawnbreaker” with Tiesto, both taken from the Dutch DJ’s EP I Like It Loud. Their first 2019 release was “Don't Tell Me,” featuring Aspyer and Matluck.
