American EDM DJ and producer John Borger records under the alias Borgeous. After growing up in Miami and later relocating to Los Angeles, he launched his recording career in the early 2000s. Following experiments across assorted styles, he gravitated toward dance music as his primary focus. Early cuts such as “From Cali with Love,” “Rags to Riches,” “GANGSTEROUS,” and “Aggro” quickly drew notice within the EDM scene, which in turn opened doors for subsequent releases on Spinnin’ and Doorn.

Worldwide attention arrived via the track “Tsunami,” a joint effort with electronic duo DVBBS. The single exploded internationally, first in its 2013 original form and then again in 2014 when British rapper Tinie Tempah appeared on the updated remix “Tsunami (Jump),” propelling the record to the summit of the British charts. Borger and DVBBS later reunited, this time enlisting Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, to deliver the Spinnin’ single “Stampede,” a release that coincided with Borger’s own signing to the label. Further singles emerged in late 2014 and 2015, among them “This Could Be Love” alongside Shaun Frank, “They Don’t Know Us” with Julia Michaels, and “Zero Gravity” featuring Lights. The full-length album 13 arrived in 2016 via Armada Music.
