Carnage, a producer drawn to deep bass within EDM, rap, and trap, first built a career crafting hip-hop beats before shifting focus to dance music. Born Diamante Blackmon and operating from Los Angeles, he supplied tracks for A$AP Rocky and G-Eazy while developing separate club-oriented material. During 2012 he linked with rapper Katie Got Bandz, then signed to the electro-focused Fool's Gold imprint, and closed the year by issuing the trap track "Bang!" on that same label. Subsequent collaborations with Borgore and Tony Junior, plus a hit remix of Martin Garrix's "Spaceman," led to repeated club and festival bookings; performing as a DJ, he described his style as "festival trap." In 2015 Carnage joined the Ultra roster and dropped the single "WDYW," which featured A$AP Ferg, Rich the Kid, and Lil Uzi Vert. The full-length Papi Gordo arrived by year's end and included guest spots from Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign, I Love Makonnen, and additional artists. Throughout 2016 he issued several singles, among them "Mase in '97" with Lil Yachty and the psy-trance-referencing EDM banger "Psy or Die" alongside Timmy Trumpet. The next year he paired with G-Eazy for the Step Brothers EP and with Young Thug for the Young Martha EP. Across 2018 Carnage worked with an array of acts, including Lil Pump on "iShyne" and Steve Aoki plus Lockdown on "Plur Genocide." In 2019 he and Prinze George unveiled the moody track "Letting People Go."
