Sandy Rivera

New Jersey-based DJ, remixer and producer Sandy Rivera first took to the decks in Spanish Harlem when he turned 13. The New York native, already immersed in hip-hop and house, issued his debut recording in 1992 and soon founded the imprint BlackWiz, which he eventually supplanted with Deep Vision. Around the same period he began exploring various side ventures. In 1998 he enlisted José Martínez and José Burgos to create Kings of Tomorrow’s The Beginning. The following year, recording as Soul Vision, he delivered the transatlantic club success “Don’t Stop.” Two years later the Kings of Tomorrow single “Finally,” issued under the K.O.T. alias and carrying Julie McKnight’s vocals, received the Best Ibiza Tune Award from a leading dance publication.
