Producer Mousse T., whose birth name is Mustafa Gündogdu, crafts effervescent club tracks that weave disco and house together with refined taste and playful camp, yielding enduring anthems such as "Horny" and "Sex Bomb." Of Turkish descent and born in Hagen, Germany, Mustafa relocated to Hanover in 1990, joining Fun Key B on keyboards, constructing a personal studio, and working as a DJ on the side. Alongside partner Errol Rennalls, he established the Peppermint Jam label and production company in 1993. During the ensuing years he issued spirited house cuts and sleek acid jazz selections on Peppermint Jam twelve-inches while also producing and remixing artists including Michael Jackson, Simply Red, Amber, Ziggy Marley, Boney M, and Randy Crawford. The year 1998 brought his breakthrough when "Horny," featuring the female duo Hot 'N' Juicy, swept through clubs across the globe. That same year his remix of Moloko's "Sing It Back" raced up the charts while "Horny" landed on assorted compilations ranging from Gay Happening, Vol. 6 to Chef Aid: The South Park Album. Teaming the following year with the legendary Tom Jones delivered another hit, "Sex Bomb," which appeared on Jones' album Reload. Alternate versions of both "Horny" and "Sex Bomb" surfaced on his 2002 album Gourmet de Funk, marked by jazzy and lounge-flavored textures. The 2004 full-length All Nite Madness arrived behind the club success "Is It 'Cos I'm Cool?" Two years later "Horny" resurfaced on dance floors when cheeky producers Loo & Placido blended it with the Dandy Warhols' single "Bohemian Like You"; the resulting track, titled "Horny as a Dandy," became another dance-compilation staple.
