Egypt Central

Egypt Central, a hard rock outfit headquartered in Memphis and taking its name from one of the city’s thoroughfares, was assembled in 2001 by frontman John T. Falls. The band secured a contract with LAVA Records in 2006 and entered the studio to record its first album, yet corporate downsizing prompted the label to release the group before completion. One track from those sessions, “Over and Under,” reached the WWE and was placed in the film The Condemned. Local radio exposure expanded the band’s audience, earning Egypt Central slots on Ozzfest and the Family Values Tour. In 2007 the group signed with independent label Fat Lady Music and returned to the studio to finalize the project, resulting in the self-titled debut that appeared in 2008. Two years later the band resurfaced with the Alice in Wonderland-inspired White Rabbit.
