Adelitas Way, a rock outfit hailing from Las Vegas, attained broad recognition in 2009 through the track "Invincible." Appearing on the group's self-titled major-label debut, the song also served as the signature theme for World Wrestling Entertainment's weekly Superstars broadcast. Operating at the intersection of post-grunge, alternative metal, and hard rock, the band delivered two further albums via Virgin before turning independent with Getaway in 2016; that release, along with Notorious in 2017, Shine On in 2020, and Power in 2023, all surfaced on the ensemble's own Vegas Syn imprint.

Rick DeJesus on lead vocals and Chris Iorio on lead guitar founded the band in the late 2000s. The original configuration also featured rhythm guitarist Keith Wallen, bassist Derek Johnston, and drummer Trevor Stafford. Virgin Records issued the self-titled debut in July 2009, which housed "Invincible." Their second album, Home School Valedictorian, followed in mid-2011 after Robert Zakaryan replaced Iorio, who exited five months after the first record appeared. Songwriting for a third project started at the close of 2012, yet six months later Wallen and Johnston disclosed their departures. In July 2013 the remaining members entered the studio with Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz to cut Stuck, issued the next year and highlighted by the hit single "Dog on a Leash," which climbed to number seven on the U.S. Mainstream Rock Chart.

The Deserve This EP arrived in 2015, succeeded the following year by Getaway, the fourth studio album and first under the fledgling Vegas Syn banner. Notorious in 2017 contained the singles "Tell Me" and "Ready for War (Pray for Peace)," the latter doubling as the theme for the WWE pay-per-view event TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs. June 2020 brought the propulsive single "Shine On," which anchored the album of the same name released that September. In 2023 the band revealed the full-length Power, a suitably titled collection of forceful and emotionally intense tracks that included the New Medicine-assisted lead single "Dig Deep" and artfully fused melody with power.
