Devour the Day

After Egypt Central went inactive during 2012, Joey Walser and Blake Allison launched the Memphis, Tennessee hard rock band Devour the Day. Drummer Ronnie Farris and guitarist David Hoffman were soon added to the lineup, after which the group began recording its debut alongside Grammy-winning producer Skidd Mills (Skillet, Saliva, Saving Abel). The resulting album, Time & Pressure, surfaced in 2013 and delivered anthemic choruses, melodic riffs, and muscular focus. Jeff James and Dustin Schoenhofer later joined the touring lineup for runs supporting Hinder, Sevendust, and Pop Evil. One year after Time & Pressure first appeared, the band issued a remastered version of the LP that added new and acoustic bonus tracks. The follow-up full-length S.O.A.R. reached listeners in 2016, having been introduced by the single “Lightning In The Sky.”
