Aranda

Formed in 2001 by siblings Gabe and Dameon Aranda, the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-based outfit Aranda delivers an emotionally charged brand of post-grunge. The pair’s muscular yet plaintive approach surfaced on their 2008 self-titled debut for Astonish Entertainment, which placed two tracks—“Still in the Dark” and “Whyyawannabringmedown”—on the mainstream rock charts. Two years afterward, Kelly Clarkson recorded their compositions “All I Ever Wanted” and “Whyyawannabringmedown,” extending the brothers’ reach as songwriters. Their second album, Stop the World, arrived in 2012 under the guidance of producer Johnny K, whose prior credits include Disturbed, Sevendust, Staind, and Drowning Pool. In June 2015 the Arandas issued their third full-length, Not the Same.
