Shaman's Harvest

Shaman's Harvest fused post-grunge, hard rock, and heavy metal without compromise when the group first surfaced in the late 1990s, only to ignite widespread attention in 2009 with the arrival of its fourth album, Shine. After signing with Mascot Records, the band secured a lasting presence on active rock radio through the 2014 release Smokin' Hearts & Broken Guns and kept climbing toward broader audiences on the follow-up sets Red Hands Black Deeds (2017) and Rebelator (2022).

Jefferson City, Missouri, served as the base for the band, which was founded in 1996 by vocalist Nathan "Drake" Hunt, bassist Matt Fisher, and guitarist Josh Hamler—the three members who stayed at the center as the lineup expanded to include Joe Harrington and Derrick Shipp while Ryan Tomlinson handled guitar duties for a period. Three early full-lengths appeared before the breakthrough: Last Call for Goose Creek in 1999, Synergy in 2002, and March of the Bastards in 2006. Shine then yielded the Billboard-charting single "Dragonfly." In 2010 Shaman's Harvest supplied "Broken Dreams" as the entrance theme for WWE wrestler Drew McIntyre, an association that soon extended to entrance songs for Wade Barrett and The Corre plus a promotional track tied to the Bray Wyatt–Undertaker bout; a separate track also found its way into the 2012 horror film No One Lives. Mascot Records issued the band's first album for the label, Smokin' Hearts & Broken Guns, in 2015 after Tomlinson exited. With lead guitarist Derrick Shipp and drummer Adam Zemanek now aboard, the same configuration delivered Red Hands Black Deeds in 2017, the group's strongest chart performer to that point, and then Rebelator in 2022, whose singles "Bird Dog," "Voices," and "Under Your Skin" paired weighty riffs with melodic hooks.
