Biography
The Los Angeles mainstream metal outfit Gemini Syndrome assembled in 2010, drawing on the skills of singer Aaron Nordstrom, who had previously played guitar for Otep, alongside drummer Steele Medina, guitarists Rich Juzwick and Mike Salerno, and bassist Alessandro Paveri. During their early period, the group supported acts such as Nonpoint and Murderdolls while performing on the Sunset Strip. Their standing in the local hard rock community expanded along with their fanbase, leading to a Warner Bros. recording contract shortly after they issued a debut EP in 2011, paving the way for a full-length album. Comparisons to groups including Disturbed, Stone Sour, and System of a Down accompanied the 2013 arrival of that effort, titled Lux. After moving to the Sony-related imprint Another Century Records, the band collaborated with the Canadian production team of father and son Kevin Churko and Kane Churko on their next release, Memento Mori, which came out in August 2016.
