Féfé

Born in Clichy la Garenne to Nigerian parents and raised in the urban district of Noisy le Sec, Samuel Adebiyi performs as the French rapper and singer Féfé, also known under the aliases Fe² and Feniksi. He helped establish the rap crew OFX before co-founding the influential Saian Supa Crew in 1997 amid the surge of French hip-hop. The group remained active for ten years until its dissolution in 2007. Féfé’s debut solo project, the stylistically wide-ranging Jeune à la Retraite, appeared in 2009 and featured contributions from Dan the Automator as well as former SSC colleague Sir Samuel. In 2010 he joined the Haitian earthquake relief recording “1 Geste Pour Haïti Chérie” and appeared on K’NAAN’s “Wavin’ Flag [Celebration Mix].” Polydor issued his second album, Le Charme des Premiers Jour, in May 2013.
