Biography
Figure Four, a Christian hardcore outfit, originated in Winnipeg, Canada, in 1996 with vocalist Andrew Neufeld at its center. Early membership fluctuated before locking into a stable configuration that included Neufeld alongside guitarists Jeremy Hiebert and Metal Mel, bassist Jason Bailey, and drummer Steve. Their first full-length, No Weapon Formed Against Us, surfaced in 1999 via Facedown Records, after which relentless road work carried the group’s name across the North American hardcore underground. The follow-up, When It’s All Said and Done, arrived in 2001 and prompted yet another extended touring cycle. In 2003 the band moved to Solid State, the Tooth & Nail subsidiary, for Suffering the Loss and maintained its live schedule in the album’s wake. Activity later tapered into an informal pause once Neufeld and Hiebert redirected primary focus toward Comeback Kid, their full-time touring hardcore project. Bailey subsequently joined New Jersey’s Shattered Realm, while the remaining members likewise concentrated on separate endeavors.
