Fireball Ministry, a hard rock and stoner metal group, adopted ecclesiastical designations such as bishop, reverend, and sister for its lineup to match the band’s moniker. The outfit delivered its first record, Ou Est La Rock?, on Bong Load Records in 1999. Nuclear Blast extended a recording contract in 2002, after which the band’s sophomore effort, The Second Great Awakening, appeared in 2003 under the guidance of Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz, whose prior credits include Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, and System of a Down. Their Rock Is Not Our Rock arrived in 2005 and contained the track “The Broken,” later licensed for the 2006 WWE title SmackDown vs. Raw. The group’s self-titled fourth studio album followed in 2010, and after an extended absence the band resurfaced in 2017 with Remember the Story on Cleopatra.
