Biography
Formed in 2007 in Northampton, MA, Black Pyramid arose from the joining of vocalist/guitarist Andy Beresky, bassist Eric Beaudry, and drummer Clay Neely. Neely’s earlier stints in Artimus Pyledriver, Black Fucking Doom, and Palace in Thunderland supplied immediate ties to the stoner rock and doom scenes, which in turn secured a deal with Meteor City. That arrangement yielded a self-titled EP in 2008 and a self-titled full-length in 2009, both displaying an evolving fusion of doom, drone, and post-metal textures. Gein replaced the outgoing Beaudry on the 2009 album.
