Biography
In the early 1990s For Love Not Lisa came together in Oklahoma City once vocalist Mike Lewis and guitarist Miles started jamming. Bassist Clint McBay and drummer Aaron Preston later joined the pair, after which the group relocated to Los Angeles in search of commercial success. Their 1992 self-titled EP, drawing equally from heavy metal and punk, earned praise in Option and secured a contract with Elektra/EastWest. Merge, the band’s debut album, appeared in 1993 and led to tours with Fugazi, Green Day, and Rage Against the Machine. A track contributed to the soundtrack of 1994’s The Crow raised their visibility, and Information Superdriveway arrived as their second album in mid-1995. Lost Elephant followed four years later.
