Biography
Amid a pause in Lady Antebellum’s activities, Hillary Scott laid down the inspirational album Love Remains. Issued in 2016 under the name Hillary Scott & The Scott Family, the project served as an acknowledgment of the wider relatives who lent their support. Singing alongside her relatives from an early age, she is the daughter of country vocalist Linda Davis and Lang Scott. Her initial paid performance came during a seasonal concert organized by her mother. She kept appearing onstage through high school and college before uniting with Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood to launch Lady Antebellum in 2006. The group issued five albums from 2008 to 2014; in 2016 Scott then recruited her parents together with sister Rylee for the studio sessions that produced the modern-day gospel album Love Remains. Released that July, the set entered Billboard’s Christian Albums chart at number one and reached number two on the Top Country Albums chart.
