Biography
Embodying a direct hard rock approach in the vein of the MC5 and AC/DC, Honky Toast formed as a side project out of Love Spit Love, drawing on that group’s guitarist Richard Fortus and drummer Frank Ferrer together with singer Eric J. Toast and bassist E.Z. Bake. What began merely as a lark soon drew substantial interest from record labels, prompting the band to sign with 550 Music and deliver the 1999 release Whatcha Gonna Do Honky?
