Horcas

Guitarist Osvaldo Civile launched Horcas in August 1988 after parting ways with V8, recruiting Eddie Walker on bass, Adrián Zucchi on guitar, Gabriel Ganzo on drums, and Hugo Benítez as vocalist. Zucchi departed before the band could issue its debut album, Reinará La Tempestad. Ex-Lethal guitarist Oscar Castro and bassist Norberto Yáñez then joined, appearing on the follow-up effort Oid Mortales El Grito Sagrado. During the promotional cycle, Horcas secured key opening slots for Motorhead and Metallica. In 1997 the lineup of guitarist Sebastian Coria, drummer Guillermo De Luca, and vocalist Walter Meza entered the studio to record Vence. After the next album’s release, founder Osvaldo Civile died on April 28, 1999; the group elected to continue despite the loss, installing guitarist Gabriel Lis in his stead.
