Originally known as the Mexican '80s pop outfit Flans, Ilse.Ivonne.Mimi serves as the current professional moniker for the trio of Ilse Maria Olivo Schewein Furth, Ivonne Margarita Guevara Garcia, and Irma "Mimi" Hernández Ochoa. From the moment their self-titled debut appeared in 1985, Flans ranked among Mexico’s leading pop attractions of the decade, scoring major successes with tracks including “Timido,” “Las Mil y una Noche,” and “Corre, Corre.” The group disbanded in 1990, yet after nine years apart the three members reconvened to launch multiple tours and issue fresh recordings. Following the 1999 comeback set Hadas, however, an unresolved legal conflict with a previous manager barred them from continuing under the Flans name, prompting the adoption of Ilse.Ivonne.Mimi instead. In 2014 the trio returned with Primera Fila Flans, an album that earned gold certification within its opening week.
