Jammer

Jammer, recognized as one of grime’s busiest and most esteemed producer/MCs, entered the scene through 187 Crew, an East London trio that fused into N.A.S.T.Y. Crew near the turn of the millennium. That crew later served as the springboard for other prominent grime talents such as D Double E, Kano, and Terror Danjah. Before departing, Jammer made his presence felt by crafting the gritty, taut single “Take U Out,” which appeared on his own Jahmektheworld imprint in 2003. He had already started issuing his own material the previous year and went on to co-produce the Lord of the Mics DVD series, essential records of the grime era. Additional output, among them the “Murkle Man” single and the Are You Dumb? mixtape run, secured him a three-album contract with Big Dada. His debut full-length solo album, Jahmanji, arrived in 2010 and included contributions from Boy Better Know, Newham Generals, Toddla T, and Shiv Lizzy.
