Biography
Originating from London, England, grime MC Nicky Nyarko-Dei, known professionally as Tempa T, launched his stage career in 2006 by appearing at grime events throughout the U.K. while also joining the urban collective Slew Dem Crew with artists such as Chronik and Spooky. Those first performances already displayed a pattern of high-energy delivery paired with aggressive lyrical content. The EP Spray Dem arrived in 2006, produced by DJ JJ. Recognition came in 2009 with the single "Next Hype," later viewed as an underground anthem. In 2012 Tempa T issued a re-release of the mixtape All-Star Pars, which reached number 99 on the U.K. album charts. Tempa T teamed up with Leathal Bizzle and JME for number 11.
