Jersey

Formed in Burlington, Ontario, the punk outfit Jersey brought back together vocalist and guitarist Greg Taylor with drummer Kevin Harris, both of whom had earlier played in the emocore band Grade. Adding bassist Johnny Lubera from Believe allowed the trio—later expanded by guitarist Sean McNabb—to release their first album, No Turning Back, in 1998. They then moved to the Fueled by Ramen roster for the 1999 follow-up, The Battle's Just Begun. Spring 2001 saw the arrival of Definition, after which Jordan Hastings took over the drum stool from Harris. In 2003 the group switched to Virgin, where producer Dan Brodbeck—known for his work with Headstrong and Garnet Rogers—helmed the fourth album, Generation Genocide, issued in spring 2004. The following year Jersey declared its breakup, after which Hastings joined Alexisonfire.
