Biography
Hailing from Michigan, Jordyn Jones launched her entertainment path as a toddler through dance, singing, and acting. National visibility arrived when the youngster joined the debut season of Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition on Lifetime, an appearance that followed her relocation to Los Angeles with her mother only months earlier in pursuit of industry opportunities. Placing fifth at age 12, she quickly secured backup-dancing assignments on programs including The X-Factor, the MTV Video Music Awards, and Dancing with the Stars. During the same period she entered the teen pop group 5 Little Princesses, also known as 5LP. Their 2014 clip for “Sugar and Spice,” built around synchronized choreography, circulated widely online. Additional attention that year came from her solo rendition of Sharaya J’s “Banji,” performed with hip-hop movement. At 14 she issued further covers— Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” and Lil Mama’s “Lip Gloss”—each accumulating millions of views. Subsequent months brought additional song covers and dance tutorials to her YouTube channel, culminating in the summer 2015 premiere of her debut original track, “I’m Dappin’.” The 2016 singles “Fiyacracka” and “Bruh!” appeared next, accompanied by announcements of a forthcoming full-length album and tour. Jones also took on supporting film parts that year in Dance Camp and Internet Famous, both times portraying fictional characters.
