Known for her lively spirit and synth-heavy, groove-centered pop sound, singer, dancer, and social media personality Jojo Siwa first drew widespread notice on the reality series Dance Moms and later built a substantial following through her YouTube channel. She has maintained a steady presence in Nickelodeon projects while issuing three EPs that reached the Top 25 on Billboard’s Kid Albums chart: 2018’s D.R.E.A.M. The Music, 2019’s Celebrate, and 2020’s Jojo's Rockin' Christmas. During 2021 she took part in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars; that same year she publicly identified as LGBTQ+ and shifted toward a more mature artistic presentation. In 2024 the EDM-infused single “Karma,” drawn from her Guilty Pleasure EP, climbed into the Top Ten of the dance charts.

Joelle Joanie “JoJo” Siwa entered the world in 2003 in Omaha, Nebraska. Her introduction to dance came through her mother, dance instructor Jessalynn Siwa. At age nine she gained national exposure alongside her mother on the second season of Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition, finishing fifth. Viewers responded to her spirited, endearing charm and signature hair bows. She and her mother subsequently spent two seasons on the related series Dance Moms. In 2015, capitalizing on her television visibility, she started a YouTube channel featuring Q&As, challenges, and vlogs. By 2016 she had issued her first single, “Boomerang,” an energetic pop song carrying an anti-cyberbullying theme that later earned double-platinum certification. Additional tracks such as “Kid in a Candy Store” and “Hold the Drama” further broadened her audience.

Her debut EP, D.R.E.A.M. The Music, entered the Top 25 of Billboard’s Kid Albums chart in 2018. The follow-ups Celebrate and Jojo's Rockin' Christmas both reached the Top 20. She continued acting, appearing in the 2018 Nickelodeon movie Blurt! and supplying voices for 2019’s The Angry Birds Movie 2. She also grew her commercial footprint with books, dolls, accessories, and a cosmetics collection. In 2020 she performed as the T-Rex on season three of The Masked Singer and released the standalone single “Nonstop.” The next year she confirmed her LGBTQ+ identity and joined the season 30 cast of Dancing with the Stars, forming one half of the program’s first same-sex partnership. Aiming for a more adult pop identity, she signed with Columbia Records and delivered the EDM-driven track “Karma” in April 2024. It peaked at number five on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and introduced her fourth EP, Guilty Pleasure. Around the same period she issued the non-album single “Iced Coffee.”
