Born John Vincent Orlando in Ontario in 2003, the Canadian pop singer and social media personality first attracted notice by uploading original tracks during the early 2010s. His major-label debut arrived in 2019 as the EP Teenage Fever, which earned him a Juno Award nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. The following year brought the streaming success “Everybody Wants You,” featured on his next EP, It’s Never Really Over. His first full-length album, All the Things That Could Go Wrong, appeared in 2022.

As a child Orlando began performing vocally, and by his early teens he was sharing cover videos online. He soon added self-written material such as “Summertime” and “Never Give Up,” releasing the independent EP VXIIXI in 2015. Growing subscriber counts led to a recording deal with Universal Music Canada. Later that same year he issued a follow-up EP, Teenage Fever, containing the songs “Last Summer” and “Sleep,” and collected the Juno nomination mentioned above.

Entering the new decade, Orlando scored another substantial streaming hit with the 2020 single “Everybody Wants You.” The track preceded his 2021 collaboration with DVBBS on “I Don’t,” which itself preceded the solo release “Daydream.” Opening 2022 with “Blur” and “Leave a Light On,” he collected both songs on his debut long-player, All the Things That Could Go Wrong.
