Biography
A multifaceted French vocalist, keyboardist, composer, writer, and reporter, Juliette Armanet surfaced during the mid-2010s with a style that blended current Euro-pop and rock alongside the emotive 1970s pop approach associated with Véronique Sanson and Barbara. Born in Lille, she developed an early passion for both music and literature before transitioning into documentary journalism. Her recording career began in 2014 via the single "L'amour en Solitaire," followed two years later by the EP Cavalier Seule and the 2017 full-length Petit Amie, which earned Best Newcomer honors at the 2018 Victoires de la Musique ceremony, France's equivalent to the Grammys. In 2020 Armanet collaborated with French psych-rockers Moodoid on the single "Ideal," then released the exuberant, dancefloor-oriented solo cut "Le Dernier Jour du Disco" the next year.
