In 2008 Kárpátia issued the album Istenért, Hazáért, a Top Ten success that benefited the seven-piece outfit devoted to classic Hungarian folk traditions while sustaining a distinctly modern perspective. The band, whose name references a celebrated mountain region along the border of its homeland, spotlighted the contributions of Dávid Eredics on clarinet and sax, Dániel Bolya on whistles, kaval, and tilinko, Mátyás Bolya on koboz and citera, Balázs Jakabffy on darabuka, davul, and daf, László Nyíri on fiddle, Búzás Attila on double bass, and Beáta Palya on vocals.
