Kassem Mosse, born Gunnar Wendel, stood out among underground house producers throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s for his atmospheric, occasionally abstract tracks that often appeared without titles yet conveyed deep emotion. He lives in Leipzig, Germany, and maintains close ties to the Mikrodisko and Workshop imprints while also issuing material through Nonplus, Sounds of the Universe, and Laid, the Dial sublabel. Laid hosted the Workshop EP, a split release with Lowtec that contains one of his strongest pieces, the track titled "Untitled." Between 2006 and 2013 he issued one to three EPs each year. His longer-form releases comprise MM/KM, a 2012 collaboration with Mix Mup on Trilogy Tapes, and the double-LP Workshop 19, which Workshop released in 2014. Additional recordings appeared under the names Seltene Erden on Mule Electronic, Gunnar Wendel on Omar-S' FXHE, and the Siege of Troy on his own Ominira label.
