Khalil Fong

Emerging from Hong Kong as a multilingual performer of soul-infused pop, Khalil Fong first captured widespread attention in 2005 through his work as a singer, songwriter, and producer. His birth took place in Hawaii on July 14, 1983, after which his family relocated first to Shanghai and later to Hong Kong. In addition to English, he commands fluency in Mandarin, Shanghainese, and Cantonese. Initially tied to Warner Music Hong Kong in a production capacity, Fong launched his career as a solo artist on that same imprint in 2005 via the album Soul Boy. As one of the rare Chinese musicians drawn to soul music, his arrival sparked immediate excitement, an excitement that only intensified with his follow-up release This Love in 2006, which featured the chart-topping success "Love Love Love." Wonderland came next as his third album in 2007.
