Kickhunter

It would surely astonish Lynyrd Skynyrd to discover Kickhunter, a Southern rock outfit headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. The lineup features vocalist Jörg "J.C." Wesenberg, guitarists Roland Feldmann and Stefan Aurel, keyboardist Ansas Strehlow, drummer Karsten Kreppert, and bassist Markus Grosskopf, known for his work with Helloween. Since forming in 2000, the ensemble has filtered the atmosphere of smoky biker bars, illegal gambling dens, and tipsy moonshine shacks through a distinctly Teutonic lens, yielding a succession of offbeat releases such as Hearts & Bones in 2003, Little Monsters in 2007, and All In in 2010.
