Brother Firetribe

Formed in Finland back in 2002, Brother Firetribe operated as an AOR outfit shaped by the classic stadium rock eras of Journey and Van Halen as well as the glam approach of Skid Row. Their unusual name, rooted in a complex private joke linking Finnish tennis and heavy metal, had earlier been False Metal. Following the switch to Brother Firetribe and a subsequent agreement with Spinefarm Records, the group used that prior identity as the title of its 2006 debut album False Metal. The record earned strong notices and solid sales inside Finland, though live activity remained limited because guitarist Emppu Vuorinen belonged to Nightwish and vocalist Pekka Heino performed with Leverage. The members nevertheless kept the project moving, delivering the second album Heart Full of Fire in 2008.
