One Desire

One Desire came together at the start of 2012, sparked by drummer Ossi Sivula laying down demos of material he had created alongside fellow musicians. Momentum built only in 2014, once Sivula connected with Finnish guitarist Jimmy Westerlund, recently returned from Los Angeles where he had performed and produced for acts including Pitbull, Sturm und Drang, and Negative. After shifting their approach, Sivula cut three songs that drew the ear of Frontiers Records head Serafino Perugino. Singer André Linman joined next, and bassist Jonas Kuhlberg completed the lineup in 2016. With the roster set, the band tracked its first album in the studio during the middle of that year. Drawing from Def Leppard, Toto, and Journey alongside tougher contemporary rock outfits, the self-titled release emerged in early 2017, blending melodic hooks with a robust edge.
