Established in Mexico City during 1993, La Apuesta emerged as a regional Mexican ensemble focused on duranguense sounds, created by siblings Enrique Casaos Cano, who handles guitar and vocals, along with Juan Casaos Cano on vocals; both hail from Oaxaca's Sierra Juárez area. Additional members comprise Julio Cesar Estrada Vega on keyboards, Luis Felipe Montalvo handling drums, Antonio Vazquez contributing guitar and vocals, and Luciano Amaro playing keyboards plus accordion. Among their most prominent tracks stand "Por Tí," "Cada Día Mas," "Abrázame y Perdoname," and "Procuro Olvidarte," all featured within the 2008 compilation titled 10 Exitos de Oro.
