Biography
In the vibrant landscape of Mexican music, Los Askis stand out among the leading ensembles for their distinctive fusion of contemporary Cumbia rhythms with age-old Andean traditions. The ensemble also takes the stage wearing authentic Mayan attire while weaving ceremonial dance components into their live performances. Their inaugural release on EMI, titled ?Quien Te Robo el Corazon?, hit the market in 1999, followed by Pasion y Cumbia the subsequent year and Frente a Frente emerging during the autumn of 2000.
