Biography
In the distinctive San Sebastián district of San Luis Potosí, Los Acosta first came together. Brothers Ricardo, Ernesto, Sergio, and Carlos guided the ensemble as it entered the regional circuit toward the end of the 1980s, delivering a blend of pop, cumbia, mambo, bolero, and norteño. The outfit would rise to prominence as one of the leading acts in the onda grupera movement, an inventive approach that adapts traditional Mexican forms to electric instrumentation.
