Laurent Dury

Laurent Dury, a French new age composer whose work blends synthesizers with live instrumentation such as piano, horns, strings, and woodwinds, started out in England by composing material for Oxford Press along with various British television outlets. Following his 1998 return to France, he joined the Origins/Terra Humana roster and quickly issued his first album, Sophrologie, Vol. 1: Conscience et Harmonie. Zen Vol. 1: Chin Den Chin appeared in 2000 and gave way the next year to five further projects, among them Le Jardin d'Alice and Les Trésors d'Ali. His track “Silk Road” was featured on Vol. V of the Buddha-Bar series in 2003. Dury sustained his habit of multiple releases within a single calendar year by delivering four albums in 2004—Musique de Soins: Osteopathie, Musique de Soins: Reiki, Musique de Soins: Sophrologie, and Qi Gong.
